IIITB COMET Foundation, a section 8 company and a Technology Innovation Hub (TIH), would like to call for proposals for the post of Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EiR). In this program, IIITB COMET Foundation will facilitate fellowship grants to budding entrepreneurs for pursuing a promising technology business idea. Selected entrepreneurs are eligible for a grant of INR 30,000 per month for a period of 12 months, extendable up to 18 months depending on progress.

Aim:

Deep-Tech business ideas in the field of Advanced Communication Systems, like 5G-Advanced or 6G, have a long gestation period. Such ideas also have tremendous potential for positive social impact and job creation. IIITB COMET Foundation finds it imperative to support entrepreneurs involved in such ventures by providing access to

• Technical expertise in the form of meetings and discussions with eminent Professors from premier institutes across the country
• Guidance from mentors and experts on business concepts related to commercialization
• Office space with support to minimize administrative overheads

Eligibility:

• The EIR applicant should be a citizen of India
• Applicant should have completed 4 years of formal full time undergraduate/post-graduate education (across one or more-degree programs) with graduation/diploma in science or engineering. Applicants holding 3 years degree /diploma in science or engineering with 2 year full-time work experience after completion of degree or diploma are also eligible.
• Applicant shall be willing to pursue the business idea as a IIITB COMET Foundation EiR full time. It cannot be concurrent with any other remuneration or fellowship.
• The applicant shall propose one technology business idea in a clear and concise format, and should have a formal business plan for the idea they intend to pursue
• Applicants seeking the support should demonstrate the ability to build a scalable technology business startup and make a business presentation including the investment proposal.
