Program Manager

IIITB COMET Foundation (A section 8 company) is hiring for the post of Program Manager.

Job Description:

  • Support Implementation of the research and product development agenda of the Foundation, in consultation with the CEO, the Chairman of the Hub Governing Body IIITB COMET Foundation and PIs of the projects funded by IIITB COMET Foundation.
    • Identify problems that the Foundation can run as Grand Challenges
  • Support in evaluation of project funding proposals
  • Monitor implementation of projects being funded, and support corrective actions where needed;
    • Support to the PMRC to in review of the portfolio of projects / start-ups based on progress and evolving needs.
    • To support existing, or where appropriate develop, effective communication structures, channels to maximise the delivery of projects; specifically develop coding standards, field testing protocols and other similar structures so that projects being developed can be industrialized
    • Report the progress on the projects to stakeholders and management against the CFP Milestones and Outcomes
    • Communicate effectively with and develop strong professional relationships with appropriate staff across the University by working with senior levels across the University with external stakeholders.
  • Support productization of developed technology through the transition of technologies to start-ups or other companies
  • Contribute to building the technical brand for the Foundation
    • To organize and run a mixed portfolio of events include priority setting events, coordination meetings, collaboration events etc.
    • To develop new content for marketing communications relevant to projects, specifically interviewing, preparing the text and collating the text into leaflets, web pages, brochures, filers, etc.
    • Support participation in standardization bodies such as TSDSI, 3GPP and other relevant standard bodies
  • Build value for the Foundation by driving patenting efforts wherever possible
  • Any other task assigned by the Chairman, HGB or the CEO of the TIH

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills Needed:

  • M.E/M. Tech/PhD in ECE/EE/CSE/IT or Equivalent
  • Age 25 – 40 (preferred)
  • Good Communication Skills
  • At least 5 years’ experience in telecommunication / hardware / networking technology field, program management experience is preferred
  • Relevant technical work experience in domains such as telecommunications, VLSI, systems engineering or software / hardware design is necessary.
