Chief Executive Officer (CEO) would manage /oversee/coordinate/lead multifarious operational roles of IIITB COMET Foundation like – project management, business development, finance, and administration. The job description is not exhaustive and the post holder may, from time to time, be required to undertake other related duties. The CEO will be responsible for the following:

• Develop the research and product development agenda of the COMET Foundation in the area of Advanced Communication System, in consultation with the COMET Foundation Board and/or HGB
• Build relationships with all stakeholders (faculty members, researchers, academic institutions both from within India and outside, start-up companies, industry). Support productization of developed technology through the transition of technologies to start-ups or other companies. Explore funding opportunities from government agencies and corporates.
• Responsible for day-to-day functioning by directing and overseeing Human Resources (HR), Accounts, and Legal activities of IIITB COMET Foundation. Oversee expenditure and ensure consistency within the annual budget of the company.
• Help to evaluate project funding proposals. Help the Committee and Hub Governing Body (HGB) to  identify projects / start-ups to be funded; Build a project / start-up portfolio aligned with the mission of the Foundation
• Monitor implementation of projects / start-ups being funded, and support corrective actions where needed; Advise the Foundation on appropriate cadence of the portfolio of projects / start-ups based on progress and evolving needs.
• Develop technologies in close partnership with Institutes as well as other Indian companies and academia. Support productization of developed technology through the transition of technologies to start-ups or other companies
• Build and lead a core team to execute the mission of the foundation; work closely with the faculty of the participating institutes to ensure alignment of funded research with the mission of the foundation
• Build value for the Foundation by driving patenting efforts wherever possible
• Governance: Execution of the mandates set by the COMET Foundation Board as well as Timely dissemination of information to the COMET Foundation Board.
• Ensure that the company carries out all its activities lawfully and ethically.
